"From the Bayou to the Port"
from the Lousisana Bayou to the Port of Savannah
Featuring Savannah's Own, Teddy Adams and Friends
Join Us for a Saturday Afternoon of Free Jazz
The Savannah African Art Museum will be hosting world-renowned jazz trombonist Teddy Adams and Friends for a free outdoor concert titled “From the Bayou to the Port”.
Come check out the similarities of jazz found in New Orleans and the Hostess City, both with its African influenced “call and response” traditions of enslaved African Americans and its improvisational nature and rhythmic complexity.
The Savannah African Art Museum will be open from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm for guided tours. The last tour starting at 1:00 pm. Reservations are recommended via: 912.721.7745 or visit@savannahafricanartmuseum.org
Royal Tasty Avenue Food Truck will be on-site for guests to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages.
